  Friendly staff and nice beer (although the real ale was really too cold), but the food was a big let down. The homemade chilli was far from spicy and contained only a spoonful of so of beef mince and few beans - it would have been better described as a pepper stew. Frozen food and chicken skewers that were dry and overcooked (microwaved?) made for another disappointment. The bar has its place next to the fish and chip shop (recommended), the amusement arcade (which serves burgers and yummy donuts) and the caravan park, but it's not a destination or gastro pub and the 4.5* rating it had at the time of our visit is undeserved. Stick to simple food, well-prepared and it would be worth a revisit but not with the current menu.

  Go here every year when on holiday. Nice little pub/bar. Not too expensive either.
